With Egypt still in chaos, and social order breaking down, the worry now is that evil Islamofascist elements could take advantage of the situation. First among these are Al Qaeda; they have many tentacles in Egypt (their second in command Ayman al Zawahiri hails from Cairo!) and so they will certainly be infiltrating back. I wouldn't be surprise to see random acts of terror hitting Egypt soon as Osama and his minions try to derail the 'revolution'. Undoubtedly the Muslim Brotherhood would do little to stop Al Qaeda gaining a base in Egypt; they share many similar philosophies.While my wish is for a democratic and free market based Egypt of the future, we need to also be aware of the dangers. Listening to the blinkered and dogmatic anti-US and anti-capitalist rhetoric of the Max Gross's of the world will only lead to more chaos in the region.
