The database to be collected from a forthcoming crossmedia event has been presold for millions of $US an unidentified source claimed today. The demand for marketing hard data, particularly valid email addresses, socioeconomic groups, wage earnings and basic personality data may have driven an anonymous purchaser to gamble millions of dollars to prepay for an experimental database as yet unbuilt.
The database is to be collected via an interactive methodology that links commonly used communications systems such as phone and fax with other data gathering sources such as the net.
The participants will be induced to input data whilst "participating" interactively with a purpose built television program.
