THE END OF AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM
On the 10th anniversary of 9/11, as we ponder the corporate media's selective reporting of its aftermath, let us commemorate not only those who died in the atrocities committed by Saudi fanatics in the USA but also the neglected millions of dead, maimed, traumatised and made homeless by the ousted Bush Adminstration's dupery, skullduggery, belligerence, incompetence, venal opportunism and lust for power.
Let America mourn in dignity and peace, a luxury not afforded its countless victims in Afghanistan, Iraq and elsewhere.
Let us hope for the return of the rule of law, accountability and reason in the USA.
Let us demand the arraignment and trial of George W. Bogus, Dick Charmless, Don Rumsfault, Condy Ricin and all those culpable of aiding and abetting the Bush Administration's war-crimes and misdemeanors.
Let us pray for the restoration of Lady Liberty and the end of Guantanamo Bay as the global symbol of the U.S.A.
And let us hail - despite its illegal black sites, roaming hit squads and ongoing, Obama-approved militancy - the demise of the smug, self-proclaimed concept of U.S. exceptionalism.
Let us, dear Xenox News reader, take a stroll down Terrorist Lane with the Max Gross 9/11 Memorial Gallery.
