A 12-year study of more than 38,000 men, conducted by researchers from Harvard and the University of Sydney, has shown that drinking a moderate amount of alcohol each night can significantly reduce men's risk of suffering a heart attack.
Sydney University associate professor, Kate Conigrave, said there was little difference in the level of protection between drinking three or four days a week, and five to seven days a week.
